IP solutions provider Avaya Networks released a bucket of software, applications and end point solutions today.

If you want complete details,I'm linking you here to the announcement. But our function here is not to reprint press releases but to tell you - the enterprise IP Telephony user- what's really important.

For me, the Enterprise Survivable Server jumps out.

Enterprise Survivable Server is a feature of Avaya Communications Manager 3.0 IP telephony software.

Network managers can add the ESS so that if IP communications fails at headquarters, individual branch offices will  still be able to use the network to talk to each other. ESS can detect these outages, route calls to a local survivable processor, and then instruct every gateway to route back to the central server once it is back on line.
