The latest versions of the SuSE distribution of Linux has two vulnerabilities that could affect the security of Web servers. That's according to a researcher at security service provider @Stake Inc. One flaw is with the configuration of the included Apache Web server, which could allow an attacker to read the source code of server-side scripts and programs. The other vulnerability is a security problem with the Web-distributed authoring and versioning (WebDAV) protocol, which could make it possible for an attacker to use a command to essentially browse a SuSE server's entire Web file system. -- Robert Lemos, ZDNet News.
