T-Mobile has debuted a new addition to their myTouch smartphone collection. And they're obviously quite proud of it too, boasting that the myTouch 3G Slide "marries beautiful form with superior function." Sounds like a bit much, so let's take a closer look.

The Android 2.1-based handheld has a number of respectable specs, including a 3.4-inch HVGA touchscreen, a 5-megapixel AF camera with flash and a pre-loaded 8GB microSD card. There are also two keyboard options, the first being the obvious slide-out QWERTY keypad, but there's also a pre-installed Swype keyboard if you prefer to input text on the screen itself.

One of the stand-out features on the myTouch 3G Slide is the Genius Button, an all-in-one type key that allows users to not only control the phone, but also for a number of different voice commands. That includes, making phone calls, composing/sending messages, Internet surfing - all via voice command. And if you're even too occupied to read, the phone can dictate your text messages aloud for you.

The two other unique features T-Mobile has incorporated on this myTouch edition are the Faves Gallery, which organizes your 20 favorite contacts into one place for easy communication access, and the myModes function, which lets users customize their apps and themes into separate profiles in case you need to separate your work life from your personal one.

While not priced yet, T-Mobile will be releasing the myTouch 3G Slide on an unspecified date in June in three colors: black, white, or red.
