National Australia Bank (NAB) has reshuffled its executive team, and as a result it will see the departure of Lisa Gray, the company's group executive enterprise services and transformation.
Gray has been responsible for leading the bank in, which started in 2009, including the broad consolidation of systems, upgrades to well-established mainframe and high-end server-based systems, improvements to voice and core networks, and the delivery of a broad range of new customer services and application programming interface capabilities.
In her own words, Gray previously described the project as "the largest and most comprehensive of the transformation agendas of the major banks. It is all about reliability and accessibility for customers'.
Taking over Gray's group executive role effective immediately will be Renee Roberts, previously chief risk officer of Bank of New Zealand where she oversaw the bank's risk and compliance and audit teams.
While there is no exact date of when Gray will finish up with the company, NAB said will stay on to help "complete an appropriate transition".
The changes come as Andrew Thorburn begins his role as the group's new chief executive officer today.
"Selecting a leadership team is one of the biggest decisions a CEO makes, and I have taken the time since my appointment was announced in April to consider who are the best people to take NAB forward," Thorburn said in a statement.
But this isn't the first time that NAB has seen the roles and responsibilities of its executives being reshuffled. In its past, the bank has split the role of CIO betweenwith former CIO Adam Bennett as the executive general manager of enterprise transformation.
Other new executives that will join Roberts, include Angela Mentis as group executive business banking; Antony Cahill as group executive products and markets; and David Gall as group chief risk officer.
