The Dangers of Being A Skype Development Partner

Skype has long shown their contempt and complete disregard for their customers by refusing to provide "Customer Support", blocking paid accounts without notice and not answering queries, blaming the user when an account is hacked and money is stolen, and so on. Now we seem to be starting off the new year with a couple of stories that show Skype has the same contempt or for their "partners" than they do for their customers.

First, the Skype Cheerleaders report that (in their words) Skype throws independent developers under the bus to pursue WebEx market , followed of course by the exact opposite article, Skype Has NOT Thrown Indepedent Developers Under a Bus . Read both sides and decide for yourself which is more convincing.

Now, there are mysterious rumors about a Skype Lite for Android. If this is true, and it most likely is and was just leaked a little too early, what it means is that Skype had planted a knife firmly in the back of another "partner", this time the recipient is iSkoot.
