This Thursday, the Federal Communications Commission will likely mandate that the major telcos make their E911 infrastructure access networks available to VoIP providers.

Fittingly and not surprisingly, I have been getting lots of emails from companies with solutions to facilitate this access. Even got an email today from one company- in stealth mode until this Friday- that claims they have a solution to make "nomadic" VoIP911 a lot more feasible than it is said to be.

We'll be watching this space closely. To help us in this vigil, TalkBack to us and let us know what third-party solutions you would like to see in VoIP E911.
