Apple released iOS 9.3.2 and watchOS 2.2.1 this week with a few new features along with bug fixes. As is becoming more common some users are reporting problems with the new version of iOS.

iOS update bricking some iPad Pros

Problems with iOS updates are becoming frequent, and the new version is continuing the trend. Some owners of the 9.7-inch iPad Pro are reporting that upgrading to iOS 9.3.2 is leaving their tablet in a dead state.

Apple patent watch: new iPad dock

Apple is always filing patents and this new one is for an improved iPad dock. The patent details a dock that can fill in features missing due to the low power profile of the iPad. The dock could also provide improvements to HomeKit.

iPhone sales under assault by China

Latest figures by Gartner show that smartphones from China are becoming global brands and growing while Apple is slowing. These brands are primarily Huawei, Oppo, and Xiaomi.

The good news is that smartphones sales have shown a modest 3.9 percent increase in the latest quarter.
