Antivirus company Trend Micro on Monday announced the latest version of its desktop protection software for consumers, PC-cillin Internet Security 2004. The product competes with Symantec's Norton Internet Security and Network Associates' McAfee security software and services.

Antivirus company Trend Micro on Monday announced the latest version of its desktop protection software for consumers, PC-cillin Internet Security 2004. The product competes with Symantec's Norton Internet Security and Network Associates' McAfee security software and services.

The software includes virus scanning and protection, a personal firewall, spyware detection, spam blocking and Web site filtering. The software is priced at $49.95 and is sold through Trend Micro's Web site and authorized resellers.
