Tulip plans to sell over Web
Dutch PC vendor Tulip Computers is taking a direct approach to selling on the Web.
The veteran firm has been a stalwart of indirect channels but the UK arm of the firm will let buyers purchase direct from its site after completing a system for ordering, tracking and configuring systems. However, as with Compaq UK's 'direct' strategy, fulfilment will be through resellers.
Orders taken will be made up at Tulip's $45 million plant in Hertogenbosch, Holland.
