Unlocked Nokia E63 available now in the US for only $279

The Nokia E63 was announced in November 2008 and today Nokia announced that the red and blue E63 devices are now available in the US. The E63 is a device that is similar in form factor to my current favorite S60 device, the E71 (see my review) with some additions and subtractions from that device. The real deal here though is that you can pick up this fantastic device for just US$279 as a SIM-unlocked model. If you are looking for a good messaging device running an extremely stable OS with outstanding phone performance then I highly recommend you think about picking one of these up.

The E63 has 3G connectivity with AT&T, WiFi, Bluetooth, 2 megapixel camera, full QWERTY keyboard, 3.5mm headset jack, and 12 month subscription to Files on Ovi with 1GB of online storage. Compared to the stainless steel E71, the E63 is missing GPS and the camera resolution is a bit lower. However, if the camera can take photos without the purple tint, then it can be better than the lame 3.2 megapixel one on the E71.

The E63 is currently only available from the Nokia Flagship stores in Chicago and New York. Hopefully we will see it soon from Nokia USA and other online retailers. I played with one for a little while and like the slightly modified keyboard and may have a tough time passing this one up too.
