LAS VEGAS -- Microsoft Corp. Microsoft (Nasdaq:MSFT) announced on Wednesday that it had signed agreements with Philips Electronics NV and Thomson Consumer Electronics Inc. to build WebTV devices under the Philips and RCA brand names. The technology that seemed most attractive? Personal TV capabilities, which would include the ability to pause live TV and playback pre-recorded shows as if from a VCR, said Microsoft chief Bill Gates during his Wednesday keynote at the Consumer Electronics Show here. -- Rob Lemos, ZDNet News
