What am I doing wrong with Google Reader?

I'm noticing a strange behavior in Google reader that's driving me nuts (and introducing a lot of friction into my workflow). I can only assume that it's my fault because, upon closer inspection of the XML feeds I've susbscribed to, everything seems to be in order on the feed side.

I'm noticing a strange behavior in Google reader that's driving me nuts (and introducing a lot of friction into my workflow). I can only assume that it's my fault because, upon closer inspection of the XML feeds I've susbscribed to, everything seems to be in order on the feed side.   Here's a screen shot that's typical of my problem:

I'm noticing that more and more of the headlines in Google Reader are linked to a feedburner link and that when I click on the headline, it takes me to a blank page. This is not only true of James Governor's headlines (seen above), but even ZDNet's.  It's driving me nuts because of how much it slows me down in terms of linking to stories from my blogs and the headlines I pipe into my Twitter feed (viewable somewhere on the right side of this page; you should think about subscribing because I use Twitter very differently from most people).  I have to go to the Web site and hunt the story down if I really want the link which is often easier said than done.

Is this a problem with what I'm doing? With the feed? With Google Reader? It's not Firefox. I have the same problem in IE.
