Yahoo and TiVo are an item

Yahoo has formed a partnership with TiVo, which pretty much destroys the possibility of Google purchasing it.

It looks like TiVo will be letting Yahoo integrate it's "content and services" through TiVo's DVR by allowing users to use yahoo for scheduling recordings remotely.  They will also likely integrate other services such as Yahoo's weather, traffic and photos in short order.  This setup, to me, looks similar to what I discussed in a previous post about Google's possible DVR plans.  With all this talk about DVR's and TV services lately, it can't be long until Google follows up with something of their own.

TiVo would have been perfect for Google, just as Skype would have.  There must be something being developed in-house in order for them to ignore TiVo and let the competition barge in.
