Young US adults' interest in social security reform grows 104% in March 2005

According to Hitwise, young adults are the fastest growing audience segment to the official government Web site for the Social Security Administration. The share of young adults age 18-24 to the site increased 104% when comparing the four weeks ending March 5, 2005 versus the same week in 2004.

According to Hitwise, young adults are the fastest growing audience segment to the official government Web site for the Social Security Administration. The share of young adults age 18-24 to the site increased 104% when comparing the four weeks ending March 5, 2005 versus the same week in 2004. The 18-24 segment comprised only 5.3% of total visitors to a href="http://www.ssa.gov">www.ssa.gov, but now account for 10.7%. The second fastest growing segment to the Social Security Administration's Web site is 25-34 year-olds. Their share of audience increased 59% vs the same week in 2004; they comprised 12.8% last year, but now comprise 20.4%.
