iTunes 8.0.2 out the door

iTunes 8.0.2 is out and waiting in your software update. The incremental update to Apple's venerable jukebox application "improves stability and performance" and provides a number of important bug fixes, including:

  • Addresses a quality issue creating MP3s on some computers.
  • Fixes a connectivity issue with the iTunes Store when using some Internet proxies with Mac OS X.
  • Improves accessibility with VoiceOver.

  • Oh yeah

Maybe they will fix some of the issues itunes has when uninstalling it. I have dealt with issues of uninstalling this app and is causing issues with dvd drives and flash readers. Pathetic peice of software that everyone uses. Me, I will be buying a zune with the subscription service and staying far far away from any apple software. Seriously some of the worst development on windows to date and apple is the company that will always turn a blind eye to anything that makes them look bad and then try and muck it up in the background with not much luck. Cycle continues while the suckers eat it up. Apple is becoming the update king of software.

    • Indeed

Apple software + Windows = Horrible OBE

This is where Apple would say: but our software runs great on a Mac!

      • I use iTunes in XP all the time

and I've no complaints. You guys must not know how to use it, or it doesn't suit your tastes, because it work very well for me and I gather the other 100 million iPod owners.

Pick-up that puke green zune, probably a better match for you.

        • Yep

if it was as horrible as the few on these talkbacks insist it is, it wouldn't be so popular a player for Windows users. Q.E.D.

          • Well, if you read the post...

You would have seen that it may work fine while installed, but once you try to detach from the product it can play a nasty joke on you, especially if you do not know how to fix it. I have installed and uninstalled thousands of pieces of software that did not do what itunes does when it is uninstalled. Plus they patch the damn thing like every other week and it is a basic piece of software nothing like an OS. Weird science.
