Microsoft’s Mac Business Unit on Wednesday offered the community a behind-the-scenes cinematic look at forthcoming features in the Office for Mac 2011 suite. The documentary feature titled “Work More Efficiently in Office for Mac 2011″ premiered on Mac Mojo, Microsoft’s Office for Mac blog.

The video also runs down the new Template Gallery in Office 2011, core features in Outlook for Mac, and Office for Mac 2011’s new file-based database, which Microsoft says is faster and provides more stability with Time Machine support.

Again, Microsoft is pushing the Ribbon interface, on the Mac, naturally dubbed the Office for Mac ribbon.

Tying all of the new features together is the Office for Mac ribbon, designed as an evolution of the Office 2008 Elements Gallery while also utilizing the classic Mac menu and Standard Toolbar giving you the best of both worlds. We have put the most commonly used controls at your fingertips making it easier for you to find what you need. You can even minimize the ribbon and the Toolbar for more screen space or for the more advanced users who rely on keyboard shortcuts.

Check Out:  Oh the horror! Why is Microsoft pushing the hated Windows Ribbon for Office for Mac?

The company says it will release more of these video look-sees over the next quarter or two.
