Last week, we identified the three ZDNet audience members who have been enlisted into our reviews posse and who either have gotten (or will get) a free copy of Balesio's PPTMinimizer 3.0 (we're still waiting for two of the winners to come forward!). Earlier this week, we launched our second Deputy Tester of the Week contest and began the search for two deputy testers to try out GuardID Systems' ID Vault. The product is worth about $50 and, as with all the products we're issuing as part of this program, our deputy testers get to keep the tech when we're done. Next week's giveways (two of them) are valued at more than $500 each.
So, without further adieu, we have selected the next two ZDNet audience members to join our reviews posse as deputy testers. If you recognize yourself as one of those two audience members, be sure to contact me at email@example.com and I'll make sure we hook you up.
The first comment to get our undivided attention was from Ben who, in part, wrote:
...our unreliable home ISP forces us to use multiple platforms, such as the school library and other local computer labs, for balance transfers, bill payments, buying and selling school books, and many other secure features in public places...
This is precisely one the scenarios for which ID Vault is designed to work... the one where people are logging into multiple accounts from multiple computers. So Ben, be sure to contact me to get your ID Vault.
The second comment to get our attention was from Dawn who in part wrote:
...I am currently an IT Dept Manager for a non-profit credit counseling agency. We are constantly doing everything possible to ensure the security of our clients information, including 2 - 4 security audits a year. I love testing new products, although working for a non-profit doesn't always allow testing the "latest & greatest" products. This would give me an opportunity to not only test a new product but also to assist others in their search for a product that is reliable.
Dawn's IT background and contact with a community of people who could really use a product like ID Vault, provided it works as advertised is what earned her a spot in our posse. So Dawn, step forward.
I want to thank everyone who has participated so far and let you know that we intend to give away a lot more technology. So keep trying!
