The iconoclastic founder and CTO of TenFold asserts that business users can build high-end enterprise applications ten times faster with his application development platform than using other tools. A salesforce.com-like CRM application can be created in "less than the time it takes to watch a movie," according the company's marketing literature. In my column on ZDNet, I look into the supposed wonders of TenFold's software, and find that there is some merit in Walker's claims...

    I'll believe it when I see it.

    The "black box" approach may turn off some people, especially those who lean towards open source stuff. The proprietary approach is also easier for the larger players (like Microsoft) to shut down if they seem them as possible competition. IMHO, it will be pretty difficult for Enterprise TenFold to get visibility.
