The latest image gallery in TechRepublic's series of "Dinosaur Sightings" offers a look, inside and out, at 1970s-era consumer computers.

The gallery showcases a number of vintage machines from the collection of Steven Stengel, including [see below, clockwise from upper left]: the IMSAI 8080, one of the first consumer computers available; IBM's Model 5100, the world's first portable (55 pounds) computer; Radio Shack's TRS-80 Model; and the Apple II, or Apple ][.
