Meg Whitman will reportedly become HP's next CEO--the eighth one since 1999.

Kara Swisher at AllThingsD is reporting that Whitman, former CEO of eBay, will be the next CEO and she won't have an interim tag. The deal to name Whitman CEO could fall apart, but looks like it's sealed.

Multiple questions surround the move. As noted previously, it's unclear that Whitman has the enterprise expertise to make HP run well---at least under the current strategy.

However, HP has been known to switch strategies before. Whitman will have to decide on whether to keep the PC business and how to shore up services.

Collins Stewart analyst Louis Miscioscia said in a research note:

Whitman has not run a company the size of HP, nor one focused on the enterprise, both of which are concerns that are made more important by the fact that HP is in need of a turnaround in many lines of business, not just a new strategic direction.

  • I wonder about that HP board.

What happened to cultivating talent internally and promoting from within from people that shared the vision and direction of the company?

What? 1.5 years and they will be looking for the 11th CEO in 13 years.

The new person is aways a great genius. The current staff are just high grade morons.

  • Just dissolve the board already.

I've lost count of how many CEO's they've had over the past decade. They've totally lost it. As always, Leo will walk away many millions richer after running the company into the dirt.

@kraterz And he'll be able to trade upon his "experience" running HP to land another CEO job, just as his failure at SAP landed him the job at HP. Oh, to live in the world of Rich People Rules.

Primary and middle schools are caught in a wave of "filial piety lessons", which, among other things, requires students to wash their parents' feet. Meng Man, a scholar with the Minzu University of China rolex 116234, has criticized such lessons as foolishness. But it has to be clarified that filial piety is not rolex 218206 foolishness. What is foolishness is the way it is being taught to students in schools, says an article in Yangtze Evening Post. rolex 116519 Excerpts:
