  • INTEL's AMD64 clone is slower in 64 bit mode

    Anandtech.com has done a benchmark, comparing INTEL and AMD chips with themselves under 64 and 32 bit mode. INTEL CPU is 15-30% slower in 64 bit mode than 32 bit mode. AMD Opteron is 15-40% faster in 64 bit mode.
