These days, cash is king - unless you're buying an iPad at an Apple Store. The no-cash policy stirred up some debates over elitism, control freakery and even the legality. For the record, it's prefectly legal to refuse cash.

Remember when Yahoo used to be a search company? These days, it's all about the content. Yahoo has purchased a start up called Associated Content, which will give it even more original news and commentary to put in front of the Yahoo faithful, instead of relying solely on those stories that come from mainstream outlets.

As expected, HP reported a solid quarter but what many wanted to know was what the plans for integrating Palm. In short, it's all about webOS - and not just in smartphones. Expect to hear more about webOS in web-enabled printers after the deal is final.

Now that SAP's co-CEOs have shared their visions for the company, SAPPHIRE 2010 can wrap up so the conference spotlight can shifts to Google I/O, which opens today in San Francisco. Among the many rumors floating around: a TV partnership between Google, Intel and Sony.
