Here’s a look at Thursday, March 27:

Facebook launched its new privacy setup. The aim: Separate product development from privacy skirmishes. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg promised that privacy settings you select will carry forward to new features (Techmeme). “We’re really going to try not to have another backlash,” said Zuckerberg.

Speculation about what Apple will talk about at WWDC got underway. Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster doesn’t expect many surprises. One thing is likely: WWDC is likely to kick off a big iPhone upgrade cycle. The new iPhone will reportedly land in June.

Mary Jo Foley reports that Microsoft is toiling away on ServiceOS, which is similar to Google Chrome.

The netbook’s days might be numbered based on a few recent data points. Is the netbook going niche?
