Following an interview with New York Times tech reporter John Markoff at a Churchill Club event, I sat down with Shai Agassi, SAP president of the Product and Technology Group and a member of the Executive Board for a podcast. In this interview, I ask him about SAP's roll out of hosted services (expected next year); progress in delivering on the NetWeaver, the enterprise service architecture and xApps; Microsoft and his harsh critique of Oracle's strategy; and about his tournament poker experience.  The podcast can be delivered directly to your desktop or MP3 player if you're subscribed to our podcasts (See ZDNet’s podcasts: How to tune in), or you can just download the MP3 file of my conversation with Agassi.

  • Please mark storys with audio

Dan, it would be great if ZDNet could put a little mark (an audio graphic perhaps) next to links to this kind of stories. That way one would be "prepared" to listen to the podcast when the page loads.
In a nearby room I have my little daughter sleeping now, and I almost wake her up with this sudden audio streaming! :)

  • Shai is impressive...

    Awesome interview! Loved it...

I would love a follow-up interview that dwells on the architectural aspects of NetWeaver, MySAP, XApps, etc.
