Sony recently tapped Luidia to partner on creating interactive projectors bundled solutions for business.

Luidia, which already focuses on interactive solutions, has incorporated its eBeam Edge technology. Essentially, the eBeam Edge tool records notes to a computer via projector as the user writes them out, and then the information can be edited and saved to several different desktop applications.

The eBeam Edge is also extremely portable (after all, it's the size of a large pen or marker), and would be good for businesspeople on-the-go so long as they have a compatible projector along the way. This could be used for a variety of options, whether it be a whiteboard in a classroom or boardroom.

Thus, Sony will be bundling eBeam Edge pens and its applications with its new line of VPL short throw projectors.

A specific release date has not been revealed yet, nor any kind of hint as to pricing. The eBeam Edge gadgets already range roughly between $900 and $1,300 on their own.

Nevertheless, Sony will be trotting out demo models of this projector project at InfoComm 2011 in Orlando this week.
