  • Layers add overhead

    Every time you "virtualize" something by adding a "layer" - your performance goes down. And by abstracting the application layer, you NOW need to "only" organize your data! OH HELL - THAT's the TOUGHEST PART of working with computers! In the real world, this process can be continually avoided by NOT establishing standards at the configuration level - and rehashing "defragmentation" processes on the application layer - over, and over, and over . . .

    When the admin/app developer/user finds that they CAN'T put data anywhere in the hell they want to - what will they do?
