Yahoo's eBay ad trips up Yahoo Mail

Yahoo Mail (the new fancy one) has been a pain all day. It’s slow. It’s clunky and it gets that way every time this stupid eBay ad appears. The ad, a rollover highlights thing, tries to entice me to go to eBay. The problem: It’s an annoyance since I can’t get my email.

I’ve gone back to Yahoo Mail Classic twice because of the ad. Here’s what I get:yhooad.png

The eBay ad apparently is calling Yahoo servers repeatedly slowing down the response time (and Yahoo can be slow to begin with). Anyone else seeing this?

There are more annoyances than what you found. I was back to classic Y!Mail long ago.

Tip: Use "Ajax Yahoo Mail" Firefox add-on for better mail browsing.

I never gave it a chance to let me experience the problem you are having. I really, really do not like the new interface, and I too have reverted back to classic..

To put it simply, I dont want a flash interface, I want my email! I find the extras really, really slow down the response time, and for email I am not willing to accept that!

Stick with classic, I believe the old "if it ain't broke" really does apply here!
