Apple settles trademark dispute

No, not that dispute. Apple Inc. and Apple Corps Ltd. announced an agreement Monday that should end once and for all the long-running dispute over the Apple name and logo.

Apple Corps Ltd.
and Apple Corps Ltd. announced an agreement Monday that should end once and for all the long-running dispute over the Apple name and logo. In return for an estimated $50-$100 million, the settlement gives Apple Inc. ownership of the trademarks which they will then license back to Apple Corps for their continued use.

Although company officials were mum on the prospect, expect to see Beatles songs and albums appearing soon at an iTunes near you.
