Talking MPS with MPSA President Joe Barganier

MPS has more buzz going for it than a hive of bees on a hot summer day. There are conferences, such as the Global MPS Conference in Orlando in early May. There are countless seminars at office technology dealer meetings. And of course there's all sorts of MPS programs and consulting organizations available to dealers and resellers that can help them transform their business model from a 20th century model of moving boxes to one that is grounded in services. With all this talk about and buzz surrounding MPS, it's only natural that an association would emerge for the industry.

Regular readers know that I've often highlighted the work of the Managed Print Services Association (MPSA) and the good work that they do. In an evolving industry, it's always good to have an active association behind the wheel.

So I was glad to see that The Week in Imaging did an interview piece recently with Joe Barganier, president of the MPSA. It's an in-depth look at both the MPSA and Joe.

It probably wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that the office technology industry has gone wild over managed print services. The Managed Print Services Association (MPSA) is that association and we had an opportunity this week to speak with Joe Barganier, the association's president about the association, its mission, and the challenges facing the association and its members as MPS becomes an even more integral component of the office technology and imaging industries as well as the corporate business world.

Did you know the MPSA has more than 35 corporate members and up to 400 individual members? There's more, of course, and the interview is worth a read if you're interested in how the MPSA works and how the organization is set up.
