ORLANDO -- There are a lot of big smartphone and tablet announcements being made at CTIA Wireless this week, but let's not forget about the little things. For example, take a look at LG's new Wireless Charging Pad (WCP-700).

Normally these kinds of charging pads require some extra casing that just adds another step to the charging process. Sure, it's not really much work...but sometimes it doesn't work out.

LG's latest charging accessory sports inductive coils integrated into the battery doors and internal contacts. Users just place the supported device onto the mat, and they will be informed of the charging status thanks to multi-colored LED lights that indicate different messages. For example, a solid green light refers to a competed charge, whereas blue means it is simply plugged in.

Designed to be travel-friendly, the Wireless Charging pad measures 6.29- x 3.54- x 0.39-inches. The LG WCP-700 will be available in early April for $69.99.
