Dell on Wednesday rolled out a new batch of Latitude laptops for the enterprise: one ultraportable, two reliable standbys and one netbook.
The first additions come to its Latitude E family of laptops.
The 13.3-inch Dell Latitude E4310 ultraportable, which is built for road warriors, responds to user requests and exchanges low-voltage processor options for standard voltage, in the form of Intel Core i5 dual-core.

Memory comes up to 8GB, its WLED display is anti-glare (1366 x 768), and storage is up to 500GB (7200 RPM), 250GB (encrypted 7200RPM) or 256GB (SSD).
The 3.4-lb. laptop sports rounded corners, less-fingerprint-friendly paint, and an improvement to both its microphone (it’s now digital array) and webcam, pleasing videoconferencing veterans.
Dell says it’s moved the system’s free-fall sensor from the hard drive to the motherboard for faster detection. It’s also added an optional backlit keyboard.
It’s available now and starts at $1,449.
Meanwhile, the Dell Latitude E5410 and E5510 are 14.1-inch and 15.6-inch professional systems intended to please IT pros with tight budgets and a need for control.
Inside, you’ll find Intel Celeron, Core i5 or i7 processors, memory up to 16GB, Intel HD graphics and an anti-glare LED display.

Finally, Dell’s new 10.1-inch Latitude 2110 netbook is intended as a secondary computer for desktop users and/or the education market.

Finally, Dell said it’s working with Citrix to validate its Dell Latitude laptop and Dell OptiPlex desktop client systems for the new XenClient technology, introduced today.
