Grace Digital Audio has introduced the highly-portable Solo Wi-Fi Receiver, which has the ability to turn almost any stereo and/or speaker system into an Internet radio set-up.
The Solo Wi-Fi tuner hosts a built-in 802.11g Wi-Fi card that should connect with any compatible wireless router. The tuner can then be controlled with a remote (pictured above), or even via iPhone/iPod Touch with the free app available in iTunes. There are also RCA jacks in the box that should be compatible with any standard stereo as well as speakers and headphones.
Like the Allegro Wi-Fi radio released last month, the Solo Internet Tuner can also connect to Pandora, Sirius, Live 365 and thousands of radio stations, except this one can stream more than 18,000 radio stations and over 35,000 podcast and other on-demand programming. Then there are all of the usual radio goodies, like an alarm clock and sleep timer, but at least since this one is connected to the Internet, you won’t have to manual reset it to accommodate for Daylight Savings Time.
Priced at $124.99, the Solo radio tuner is available now at Grace Digital Audio’s website. You can also wait until July and pick it up in-store at your local Best Buy, Sears or other local major electronics store.
