Logitech on Thursday announced two new PC gaming accessories, the G500 gaming mouse and the G330 behind-the-head gaming headset.

The G500 Gaming Mouse, which is an update to the current G5 Laser Mouse, offers improved sensitivity and a new (less ostentatious) design. The mouse is shipped with up to 27 grams of weight that you can customize and tune the overall feel of the device (heavier, lighter, and so forth).

I was able to try the new G500 in person, and I think the custom-weight system will really appeal to anyone who uses a mouse for their entire workday.

In addition, the G500's built-in memory allows you to switch from game to game without having to remap a button scheme. This feature doesn't require any software installation.

The G500 will be available in stores in September for $70. Also announced is the G330 Gaming Headset, which the company says is the "first-ever behind-the-head headset" for gaming. The design aims to reduce pressure points on your head, which Logitech says is a major complaint of PC gamers.

The headset sports a noise-canceling boom mic with in-line audio controls for volume and microphone mute. It attaches to your PC via 3.5 millimeter jacks or an included USB adapter.

The G330 is available this month for $50.
