Samsung has debuted a small gadget with quite a bit of punch packed inside. The SP-H03 pico projector weights only six ounces, but it offers playback of multiple media file types and even boasts an LED source with a projected 30,000-hour lifetime.

The ultra-petite SP-H03 projector is meant to be brought basically anywhere in any type of bag you own (i.e. briefcase, backpack, purse and maybe even a fanny pack if you still have one). It's an on-the-go gadget that doesn't require a computer, and it hosts built-in software to project numerous common document types in their native formats, such as Microsoft Office files or PDFs.

Projection quality isn't too shabby for a 2.5-inch wide device, with an image size range of nine to 80 inches and a WVGA (854 x 480) native resolution.

It might also make a useful portable media device given the integrated 1W speaker and media playback support for over a dozen different music, video and image file types. All of this can be saved directly to the 1GB of on-board storage space, or via either the USB port or microSD card slot (up to 16GB).

The downer is the battery life, which is only up to two hours. So don't plan on going to far from a power source with this little guy.

Samsung's SP-H03 will be available at some unknown date in June for $299.99.
