Time Warner Cable is stepping up its game with the launch of the new Look Back service, which gives customers a 3-day window to watch missed shows without setting a DVR.

The free service, which is essentially a new and twisted form of On Demand, has been put through trials around the country, but is now going nationwide.

But Look Back is better than On Demand because Digital Video customers can check out programming immediately after the episode has aired for 72 hours. On Demand sometimes doesn't post a new episode for up to eight days after the original air time.

So if you want to take advantage of Look Back, check with your local TWC office or sit by the TV and wait.
