Toshiba continues to roll out feature-packed laptops today with the debut of the company's first 3D-enabled laptop in the United States: the 15.6-inch Satellite A665 3D Edition.

Powered by the incredible Intel Core i7-740QM quad-core CPU (with TurboBoost), the A665 3D is ready for superior gaming and entertaining. Besides a pair of active shutter glasses and an emitter bundled in, the NVIDIA GeForce GTS 350M GPU takes care of the visuals with Dolby optimizing the sound. The built-in Blu-ray drive also supports 3D playback.

Interestingly, users can even transmit music from their MP3 players to the computer to play songs on the laptop's speakers, even when the A665 is powered down.

Given that there is just so much inside this machine, here's a complete breakdown of what the Satellite A665 3D Edition has to offer:

  • 15.6-inch TruBrite LED-backlit HD widescreen display (120Hz scan rate)
  • Windows 7 Home Premium OS
  • 4GB of DDR3 RAM
  • 640GB hard drive
  • 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi
  • Bluetooth v2.1 + EDR
  • 12-cell battery
  • Built-in Webcam (with face recognition)
  • 5-in-1 Memory Card Reader
  • ExpressCard slots
  • Connectivity: Three USB 2.0 ports, eSATA/USB combo port, HDMI, Ethernet, Microphone-in

Like the Toshiba Satellite T200 series, the A665 3D-edition will launch next Sunday for $1,599.99. For 3D-less, 16-inch version, the price drops considerably to $799.99.
