ViewSonic introduces 23-inch VT2300LED LCD TV with 8000:1 contrast ratio

ViewSonic has debuted the VT2300LED LCD TV, a 23-inch wide, high-definition display that packs some decent features while trying to maintain its eco-friendly image.

Featuring full HD 1080p resolution, 8,000:1 contrast ratio and LED backlit technology, the VT2300LED seems like a fine solution for standard home entertainment purposes. And with three HDMI with HDCP ports, it's also ready for a few gaming consoles and disc (DVD or Blu-ray) players. With an MSRP set at $399, this display won't destroy your personal finances either.

But ViewSonic is really pushing the green angle on this TV set, noting that the VT2300LED saves 30-50% more energy than comparable LCD backlit panels and that the device is mercury-free. It's always nice when you can save the planet and your budget at the same time.
