Early St. Patrick's Day easter egg on Google Maps

By | March 15, 2008, 12:22pm PDT

Street View in Google Maps now shows a tiny leprechaun instead of the classic yellow guy — it’s a bit early, but you can only assume this has to do with St. Patrick’s Day on Monday. A rainbow follows him when you drag the little guy around the map too. Cute.

Yesterday, Philipp Lenssen and Tony Ruscoe posted a probable April Fools day spoiler too — Cliply. Read the original post if you want to see the image — I don’t want to completely ruin it for you.

Ok, it depends on who you talk to, but at least according to the Roman Catholic Church, they moved Saint Patrick's day to the 15th so as not to fall between Palm Sunday and Easter - "Holy Week" - this year.
