Google Flipper on the way?
Summary: It sounds like Google is getting close to making a service called "Google Flipper" public in Google Labs. The service is still under lock and key -- only people from inside the corporate network have access to it.
It sounds like Google is getting close to making a service called "Google Flipper" public in Google Labs. The service is still under lock and key -- only people from inside the corporate network have access to it.
The service appears to be a new way to view news data -- instead of seeing headlines and descriptions, you basically see a screenshot of the actual news article. Check out a screenshot of the new service at TechCrunch.
Personally, I would much rather use Google News at it exists today than something like this. What do you think?

RE: Google Flipper on the way?
How do they get away with it?
Looks like a cheep knock off of Safari 4
Kinda looks/feels like a cheep knock off of Safari 4's top sites, only in google style... I am running Safari 4 it on an imac 24" with a 20 Mbits Fiber connection. That top sites feature is really slick, ellegant, stylish, and fast. Exactly what I have learned to expect from Apple.
