If you haven’t tried “Leanback” from Google yet — try it. You can use the service without Google TV by going here. It’s cool, but even cooler on TV.

I’ve always found searching YouTube was painful using AppleTV. It was still addicting though. I could easily spend an hour or two just searching for videos with friends who are up-to-speed on internet memes. Leanback takes that to another level.

You can watch YouTube on your TV without searching. It really feels like you are channel surfing — and it’s fast. I feel that it’s going to be a hit, but I would be interested to hear what you think about the service. Is this going to be commonly used for people with Google TV? Or is it going to be one of those extra features that is just cool at first, but ends up collecting dust?

At this time the HTC Eris and Motorola Droid are the only Android based phones for Verizon and run the latest versions of the Android OS.

So is there a way if you have a you tube channel to change the url code so you can link directly to your channel using this leanback feature. That way yo can link from a site or pass along to the grandparents who cant remember how to search happy

The Google TV is great just got it from DISH Network where I work. This has great features love the apps it has. I like this product so I can be in one spot and do my surfing and watch my shows. This thing searches my DVR viewing schedule by program title or actor name, etc. It also searches the web, Amazon VOD, Netflix, etc. It can automatically schedule programs and automatically download and queue podcasts and look at YouTube videos full HD screen size and browse the web. I think also, with he release of more apps it will continue to get even better.
