Apple aired its first iPad TV commercial during the Oscars ceremony.

Apple will begin taking pre-orders for the iPad on March 12th (this Friday) and the device will ship April 3rd.

    Why do you think that Apple did not do a market research for
    the features of the device? Who said that it is a computer
    replacement. Look at it as a media device especially suited
    for reading books and you will see that the specs are OK. The
    only missing thing in my opinion is the front camera and
    iChat.

  • Doesn't really play up the web browsing aspect...

    Mostly media management and iBooks. Odd since Jobs
    emphasized the web browsing so heavily in his iPad
    demonstration. "The BEST browsing experience" or
    something like that.
