Hands-on video of 4 new devices from Verizon Wireless

In looking back at many of my posts, I see I tend to primarily discuss GSM devices due to their "open" SIM card nature and that is what I primarily use. However, there are some great devices from Sprint and Verizon Wireless as well. James Kendrick posted a new video look at four new devices coming within the next month or two from Verizon Wireless, including the BlackBerry Pearl, Juke, Venus, and Voyager. I think the Voyager is getting the most attention because it has been getting compared to the Apple iPhone with its large display and touch screen capability.

The new Pearl actually has an EV-DO radio making it the first 3G Pearl in the U.S. The Juke is a slim device, while the Venus has two displays and a slide-up display to reveal a phone keypad. The Voyager, LG Electronics device, has a large front touch screen display with a simply hold button to lock down the display. It also opens up to reveal a second display and full QWERTY keyboard so it seems to be a real powerhouse of a feature phone. If you are into text messaging, then I can see the Voyage competing directly with the Sidekick devices.
