OnLive gaming comes to Android and iOS devices, including Galaxy Nexus
The early promises from the HTC Flyer launch have finally been coming true with Honeycomb rolling out for 3G models and now the OnLive gaming service arriving for select Android and iOS models. There are currently over 25 games optimized for the touchscreen environment.
The Android version is available now in the Android Market and as you can see in my video below (still processing on YouTube) I have it working on my HTC Flyer 3G and Samsung Galaxy Nexus. According to OnLive, the following Android devices have been tested:
Acer Iconia Tab A500, ASUS Eee Pad Transformer, HTC Evo View, HTC Flyer, HTC Jetstream, Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab, Sony Ericsson Tablet S, Toshiba Thrive, HTC EVO, HTC Nexus One, HTC Rezound 4G, HTC Sensation, HTC Sensation XL, Motorola Droid 2, Motorola Droid X2, Motorola DROID BIONIC 4G, Motorola DROID RAZR 4G, Motorola Photon 4G, Samsung Galaxy S II 4G
The iOS version is not yet in the App Store and is likely moving through the Apple approval process.

OnLive is high end video game service that lets you play play online from various devices, such as a Mac or PC. This latest release brings it to phones and tablets so you can take the experience on the go and all of your game progress can be synced between different devices. You can sign up for a free account and play demos of various games. You can also purchase individual games or subscribe to a gaming plan. There are accessories available too so you can play games from a TV or laptop with gaming controllers.
While most devices allow you to play via a WiFi connection, OnLive also announced compatibility with LTE service, currently with Verizon and some AT&T areas.
