Qik automatically adds titles to your mobile video

I purchased a Nokia N95-3 about a month ago and then installed Qik to take streaming video after hearing about it on Robert Scoble's blog. I have only shot a few videos, primarily of family activities and of me crawling around a container ship because I thought people might like to see something like that. It snowed here in Washington the other day so my family and I headed to the local bowling alley for a couple of games with all the league cancellations. I discovered something quite interesting that night with the Qik service.

As I was recording the videos at the bowling alley the words "Tell us what you are up to." appeared on the screen. I didn't think much of it and actually thought that someone watching my live streams was trying to get me to talk about what they were watching on the web. Then I saw this exact same pop-up appear every time I took a video. I just went to my Qik site on my MacBook Pro and saw that those four videos I took that night all magically had titles. I found out that they now have a way to add titles automatically after prompting you for some response with this pop-up. One was titled Strike, another Gutter Ball, and another even Bowling at Daffodil Bowl, which was the location we were bowling at. This is a VERY cool feature since I no longer have to go back on a PC web browser to add titles to my videos and can add them on the go. Hopefully, this means we will no longer see a ton of videos on there with no titles :)

I just received an email response from Qik stating that they are next planning to release a client this weekend that will allow you to add Title/Tag data from your phone before, during, or after shooting the video. I imagine I'll be shooting more videos very soon and plan to use it at Mobile World Congress if I can get a pre-paid data SIM.
