Quickoffice adds full PowerPoint support for the iPad

By | December 23, 2010, 1:04pm PST

Summary: Quickoffice just rolled out a free update for their iPad software that includes PowerPoint editing and creation. You can pick up the suite now for just $14.99.

I just wrote about the Quickoffice for iPad update a couple of weeks ago and the last remaining major feature to be added was PowerPoint editing/creation support. I was pleased to get the news this morning that Quickoffice for iPad now supports PowerPoint editing.

This latest update is free for existing users and I have to say that Quickoffice is now clearly my first recommendation for an integrated Office suite on the iPad. Here are the new features that you get in the software with the PowerPoint support:

  • Manipulate font type, color, size and style
  • Add, delete and reorder slides
  • Insert and rotate common shapes
  • Change object layering
  • Insert and edit text boxes
  • Insert images saved within Quickoffice or from the iPad’s built-in Photos app
  • View presentations in slideshow mode on-device and on an external monitor
  • Present using a built-in laser pointer and filmstrip preview of slides

If you do not yet own the software, you can purchase this full suite, Quickoffice Connect Mobile Suite for iPad for just $14.99! This is a special price that saves you $10 and even at $24.99 I think it is a fantastic deal.

As in, were you not one of those who cried long and loud that the iPad was just a large iTouch and no use at all for content editing/creation?

So, why do you even care what it can do with word processing apps?

I've been waiting for over two months for them to fix the problem of the spreadsheet stripping out functions when saving to Google Docs. I was a great lover of the product but not at all pleased about how long it's taken them to fix something so major.
Do you can type on ipad at a decent speed? I use my iPad for iBooks reading and video enjoyment.

I am writing you to let you know how absolutely impressed I was with the kind of tech support that I only wish all companies would give...went way beyond what they should have been required to do. Tech support agent stayed on the phone with me until the problem was fixed.
As a result of the services provided by the windows support we have been able to quickly isolate issues saving time and resources. They have developed a highly skilled and knowledgeable core of system maintenance that are very competent and capable of assisting in getting the most out of the superior technology that has been engineered in the ever evolving. Thank you to the windows support for the awesome support! N treated me like a good paying customer even after I told him I was a trial user.

Good day to confirm this comment I would appreciate T h e b e s t o f Z D N e t d e l i v e r e d your website very nice to everyone Yes, Oracle is the only one with shared-disk architecture, but that is there advantage. It means you can add or remove nodes and the database lives on. In a shared nothing architecture, if you lose a node, you lose the system. I'm sure Oracle appreciates EMC highlighting their advantage.I also desire to signal in your RSS feeds. Thank you as soon as once again and maintain up the great operate Awesome post! Thank you very much || thanks for nice content this is really benefit to me.
