Jitterbit has always focused on integration, application and data integration, business process integration and now, with the launch of its Enterprise Cloud Edition, cloud integration. Ilan Sehayek, CTO of Jitterbit, spent some time reviewing the market needs and how Jitterbit is responding. Jitterbit has appeared here on Virtually Speaking in the past (see Doing the Jitterbit for more information on the company.)

Here’s what Jitterbit has to say about its Enterprise Cloud Edition

Jitterbit, the leading provider of powerful, flexible and easy-to-use application and data integration, today announced Jitterbit Enterprise Cloud Edition™, a cloud-based, fully featured version of the company’s award-winning integration platform. Running on the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Jitterbit Enterprise Cloud Edition is purposely designed to accommodate enterprise organizations adopting a cloud strategy in either a hybrid or pure cloud environment, with seamless connectivity to more than 250 major databases and applications.

Jitterbit Out-of-the-Box Connectivity

Jitterbit Enterprise Cloud Edition offers all the same functionality as Jitterbit’s award-winning on-premise version, including “out-of-the-cloud” connectivity to more than 250 major databases and applications.

With Jitterbit Enterprise Cloud Edition users get:
  • Fully featured cloud integration - The complete features and functionality of Jitterbit’s award-winning enterprise edition are now available in the cloud.
  • Unlimited connections and users - Straightforward subscription pricing means there are no hidden costs or obstacles to deployment or scalability.
  • Real-world, practical cloud integration - Run Jitterbit fully in the cloud, as a hybrid installation, or on-premise, with the added benefit of sharing Jitterpaks, reusable integration templates, between all deployments.
Pricing & Availability

Jitterbit Enterprise Cloud Edition is available immediately under Jitterbit’s standard flexible subscription licensing, with pricing starting at $799 per month. A 30-day free trial is available.

Snapshot Analysis

Integrating applications and data has always been a challenge. Applications developed over time or acquired from third parties typically stored data in different ways, used that data in different ways and all of that diversity made pulling them together a challenge. Several suppliers, including Jitterbit, have addressed themselves to helping that process along. As organizations begin to use cloud-based solutions, the potential integration issues multiply.

Jitterbit is taking an interesting approach to integrating on-premise systems with cloud computing solutions that builds upon its established product set that seems sensible and easy to understand. The pricing model is also very simple which should quell some of the concerns IT decision makers have had about cloud computing - that it is difficult to estimate what the total cost will be.

Where does Idaho rank? We have been living in Montana for the past 5 years and I am not supri sexy shop to find it #3 on the "worst" list. Considering a sexshopmove to Idaho to escapthe high cost of living a low income in MT. There may not be a sales tax here but they get you if you own property!
