Personally, I think Buchhiet's simplicity and leadership will positively influence Facebook's senior leadership. The partnership will benefit both parties.

But the response from hardcore FF users is not as hopeful.

    Don't care. Barely use Facebook at all, don't use Friendfeed.

    Social networking is overrated. The only reason I use Facebook at all is to keep in contact with family and friends. I'm not one of the "broadcast my life to the world" types.
