Sprint offers true Satisfaction Guaranteed or Money-Back service

The best way to see if a carrier and device works for you is to try it out. Usually, you end up still paying a significant amount of money even if you return the device and cancel service in 30 days. Sprint just announced a new program that is a true satisfaction guaranteed, money back deal.

As a guy who tries to cover every mobile operating system in detail with actual hands-on usage I have been known to subscribe to multiple carriers and pay some high early termination fees. I have also found devices so compelling that I purchased them and then changed my mind before the 30 day period was up when you could still return the device and cancel without paying the ETF. I still had to pay for a month of usage fees, restocking fees, and other fees though so I usually figured about $100 to try out a compelling device. Sprint just announced a new program that truly offers you a full money-back satisfaction guarantee and they are the only carrier I know of with such an offer.

The following comes from the press release and explains it best:

Beginning tomorrow, the Sprint Free Guarantee gives any customer opening a new line of service the chance to try Sprint for 30 days. If a customer isn't completely satisfied, they can get reimbursed for the device purchase and activation fee, get the early termination fee waived, get a full refund for service plan monthly recurring charges incurred and get all associated taxes and Sprint surcharges associated with these charges waived. In addition, Sprint will waive the restocking fee for new customer exchanges as part of this policy.

This is quite an offer and when people ask me what device and carrier is best for them I often tell them to give the carrier a try. Every carrier is different for everyone of us since we all live, work, and play in different geographic areas and have different needs. Sprint just made it very easy for people to give their services and devices a try and honestly they do have the best unlimited voice, data, and service plans available so I imagine they will get many customers to stay after giving them an honest try.
