People still don't know!

I have been hustling for freelance work, now that I’m a part-timer at The Ministry. Whoa, that’s the lowest of the low, surely, a contractor and a part-timer? Every morning when I come in to work, I get booed and hissed. Hold on, I only come in 1-2 days a week!! No wonder they boo and hiss :(

The hustling has involved a couple of “Friend Rate” sites, just to get me off the ground and so that I can cut my teeth on the open source Joomla! CMS. Hopefully I’ll be building a site for R., who is a personal trainer. I mentioned OpenOffice.org, the free open source office suite and challenger to Microsoft Office, which everybody has heard of.

But they haven’t. R. hadn’t. I’m sure the majority of people haven’t.

So, it’s time for me to start advocating more: burning a stack of OpenDisc and Ubuntu CDs and making some swish fold-your-own CD covers.
