Welcome to Firefox

This is the first screen you'll see in Firefox Mobile. The application has a skin on top of the existing user interface which I suspect slows it down a bit. Still, it looks like a typical Maemo application with the "switch apps" icon in the top left and the "close" in the top right.

For more on Nokia's touchy-feely new phones for 2010 onwards, head on over to the iGeneration blog.

  • Now, when will this come to Android?
They would likely have to strip down the add-ons, but it should be feasible to even see an iPhone version.

  • Doubt if it hits iPhone
Apple isn't likely to allow a competing browser enter its controlled jurisdiction. I haven't seen any offerings on my iPod Touch anyway. If you know of any feel free to enlighten me. I think this holds true for email clients as well. I'm not aware of any alternatives allowed by Apple. Note that I'm speaking of stock iPhones/iPod Touch's, not jailbroken.
